Ashridge House & Gardens

The house has been a monastery, royal residence, private house, training centre and a WW 11 Hospital over a period of 700 years, before becoming a prestigious business school. It has a number of elegant reception rooms to explore.

Originally designed by Humphrey Repton in the early 19th century, the gardens span some 190 acres. The gardens include a series of small gardens such as a rose garden, Italian garden and herb garden, together with extensive views over parkland and lawns.

The House and Gardens are private, but each year there are a limited number of tours throughout the summer – see www.ashridgehouse.org.uk/events-at-ashridge/ for details.
