Celebrate 80 Years of VE Day at The Marlowes Shopping Centre
The Marlowes Shopping Centre are gearing up to commemorate 80 years since VE Day, with a free family friendly celebration.
On Saturday 3 May, from 11am to 3pm at Centre Court, there will be a selection of vibrant activities to enjoy for all ages. Live performances from 1940s style girl-group The Bombshells will be bringing an electric atmosphere to life, with vintage tunes sung throughout the day for shoppers to enjoy, perfect for those enjoying a bite to eat from the comfort of Muffin Break!
Visitors can also engage in fun creative crafts such as windmill making and cupcake decorating to complete the day out as the centre honours this significant moment in history.
Whether shoppers are looking to come and create, celebrate or soak up the lively spirit, there’s something for everyone.

Tring Family Fun Day 2025
This annual family favourite event will be back on Saturday 10 May 2025! The family fun day includes Teddy ‘wings’ zip wire, tower tours, bouncy castle, Tring brewery bar, Beat the Goaly, tombola, musical entertainment, BBQ lunch, raffle and refreshments. Free admission

Mayor’s Garden Party
Join a fun-filled, family-friendly day at the Mayor’s Garden Party on Sunday 11 May at Sunnyside Rural Trust’s Food Garden, in Hemel Hempstead.
The event will run from 11am to 3pm and will feature free entertainment from local performers, including Hemel Hempstead Theatre Company, Dacorum Community Choir, Hemel Symphony Orchestra and more.
A variety of free activities will be on offer for all the family, including face painting, balloon modelling, arts and crafts with Anna’s Funky Art, yoga with Boxmoor Yoga, games and charity stalls. Enjoy a selection of food and drink, including Sunnyside’s café and pizza oven, and a mobile bar. There will also be some tempting sweet treats, such as homemade cakes and ice cream.

Help rebuild lives, one step at a time!
Walk or run your choice of 5 or 10-mile routes, while immersing yourself in beautiful woodland and nature on a summer’s day. Starting from the historic setting of Berkhamsted Castle, you’ll enjoy well-signed routes and receive a special finisher’s token.
Every penny raised at the DENS Woodland Trail will help local individuals and families facing homelessness, poverty and social exclusion.

DENS Hillbuster 2025
Gear up for one of the South East’s biggest cycling events, with your choice of a challenging 60k, 100k, 120k or NEW Elite 150k route! Your ride will take in areas of natural beauty over rolling Chiltern Hills and the stunning countryside – all on the doorstep of London.
Ideal for club cyclists, teams and individuals, the ride includes chip timing, GPX files and well-signed routes on the day. Everyone is welcome to snacks at the feed stations, along with a cheer over the finish line and a token to commemorate the day.
Wind down after your ride in the buzzing event village, with music and a selection of beers and refreshments available to purchase.
